Hall of Fame pitcher Nolan Ryan is beginning his second season as president of the Texas Rangers and he expects the team to get off to a much faster start then last year when the division winning Angels streaked to a big lead in the AL West.  “I think we’ve moved up and I expect our division to be much tighter this year,” Ryan told listeners of Norm Hitzges’ show on KTCK-AM.  “I think we’re going to be figured in the equation.  I’m not going to be happy with just being competitive.  I expect us to be in the pennant race.”
